How to Get the Most Out of Your HubSpot Platform

As HubSpot partners and an agency who heavily relies on the platform, we’ve come to find out that many HubSpot users aren’t taking full advantage of all that the platform has to offer. Whether it’s that they were set up by another agency and never onboarded or they set themselves up and just haven’t had the time to really learn the platform, we see missed opportunities left and right. Of course, it takes time to get comfortable with any type of new software, but we can assure you that at least in this scenario, it’s time well spent.

Are you a HubSpot user? Do you want to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck? Below are the four HubSpot features that get forgotten about most often.

  1. Customer Support: First of all, HubSpot offers legendary customer support that is available 24/7 via phone, email, or chat. So, ask away! If you have questions, they have answers. Their support team is made up of thousands of marketing and sales pros just like you (but with intimate knowledge of the platform) that are there to help when you need them, no matter where you are in the HubSpot learning process. You can also pose questions to the HubSpot community which is made up of other users, partners, support reps, and developers via online forums. Start by searching the past threads because someone else may have already asked your question and gotten it answered.
  1. CRM: HubSpot’s completely free CRM is really their bread and butter. This is what has attracted thousands of new users to the platform. You might even be one of them, and we don’t blame you, it is an extremely valuable tool that all marketers should take advantage of. When used correctly, it compiles data from all of your company’s communication channels (website, phone calls, email, chat, social media, etc.) and automatically tracks and records individual contact interactions as they happen through these channels. While this is all happening in the background, it’s important that you go into your CRM and check in on a regular basis, making sure your contact lists are complete and current at all times.
  1. Email: The HubSpot platform makes it easy to design your company’s marketing emails and send them out to targeted lists within your CRM. What’s extra special about their email software is their tracking and automation features. These allow you to do things like be aware of the second a lead opens an email and send perfectly timed follow ups at all hours of the day, even while you’re home relaxing on the couch. Don’t waste these valuable tools! Besides keeping your contacts and lists in the CRM organized and up to date like we mentioned before, it is also up to you to set up smart lists, automated emails, and workflows. Once you take these initial steps, the platform does the work for you!
  1. Analytics: Lastly, HubSpot provides its users with built in analytics that allow you to track just about anything, like detailed reports on your website, landing pages, emails, blog posts, social media accounts, calls-to-action, and the complete customer lifecycle, from anonymous visitor to loyal customer. You can even get analytics on your competitors! The part that’s left up to you is using this data to make educated marketing decisions going forward.

HubSpot was created to help companies just like yours. There are so many useful features available, it’s understandable if it overwhelms you in the beginning. However, it really is worth taking the time to learn the basics and set yourself up properly so that the software can start taking some of your workload off your plate and start simplifying some of your company’s operations.

Confusion can also easily be cleared up by contacting customer service or working with a HubSpot agency partner, like us. If you have questions about the platform or still need a bit of convincing to get signed up, feel free to reach out. We love HubSpot and we’re happy to help!
